Travelogue of an eventful trip to Amsterdam.
Amsterdam, known for cheese, canals, tulips and coffee shops. We were able to discover and experience all of this with clients during their trip to Amsterdam last year. Amsterdam offers much more than just these stereotypes. The small, but very beautiful, metropolis scores with numerous sights. Bianca with her adventure travelogue of Amsterdam:
Taste and discover Amsterdam
After the arrival, the guests were welcomed by me, Bianca, as the project manager on site, before an important meeting of the company was scheduled in the hotel's own premises. After the duty came the freestyle: discover Amsterdam.
Our program started on the first day with a real Dutch cheese tasting. Right in the center of Amsterdam, in one of the best cheese shops of the city. Since it had unfortunately started to rain very hard at this point of our trip, we could warm up with the exquisite cheese bites and the corresponding wine. The bad weather was quickly forgotten. Towards the end of the first event we received our partners with whom we discovered Amsterdam for three hours. An individual city tour to the most beautiful corners of the city, which should not be missing on any trip to Amsterdam. The guests experienced exciting tours of Amsterdam in two groups and interactively learned more about the metropolis of the Netherlands. Afterwards, the guests had time to explore the city on their own. I also went on an exploration tour for my adventure travel report.
In the evening we went to a restaurant, where we were served a delicious 3-course menu. While some ended the evening comfortably in the restaurant, others said goodbye to make the nightlife in Amsterdam unsafe.
Bike Tour and Photo Comic
On the second day, the clients were spoilt for choice. They had to choose between a bicycle tour towards the beach and dunes and a photo comic tour through Amsterdam. I myself took the Comic Tour with one of the two groups. Armed with two Polaroid cameras, we set off for the centre of Amsterdam. I also had enough materials with me to create a photo story. The aim of this team event was to bring the participants closer together and to motivate them with a creative task. As the sun greeted us with a bright smile, we were able to complete our comic tour with a visit to the flower market, the "I amsterdam" sign, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijkmuseum. With a fun and highly motivated group, a legendary comic was created. A story of life and death, secret agents and intrigue. Over a cold beer and hot coffee, the participants created the comic book together. The participants of the bicycle tour were blown away.
A boat trip through the canals of Amsterdam
What may not be missing in my travelogue to the trip to Amsterdam, of course, is the final canal cruise. Including food and drinks, we ended two very exuberant and beautiful days on our own ship. In two hours we had again the possibility to discover the capital of the Netherlands from the water. In own departure and with many great memories we went Sunday evening back home.
Why a trip to Amsterdam?
Amsterdam is a small, but beautiful and diverse city. There is a lot to experience and a lot to discover. It is located not far from the border with Germany and is super easy to reach by bus, train, car or plane. Our clients had a lot of fun and were very happy about the new impressions Amsterdam could offer them. And I am convinced that it was not their last trip to Amsterdam. I hope I was able to give a small impression in my short adventure travelogue and I will definitely travel to Amsterdam again.
