Travelogue with tips for your trip to Denmark and Copenhagen

Get to know new countries and cultures. Discover new tastes. All this awaits you when you travel to Denmark with b-ceed. We went on a trip to beautiful Copenhagen in Denmark for you and summarized our experiences in this travel report with some tips. We had one night and two days at our disposal on site and made full use of them. A second night would have definitely created even more space for great experiences.

Our tip in advance: Exchange from Euro to Danish Kroner on the spot. The exchange rate between the Euro and Danish Kroner is around 7.43 DKK. Of course, this fluctuates from time to time, so I recommend always checking the latest exchange rate on the spot. The money exchange in Denmark is really uncomplicated. It is best to ask directly at the hotel. There, the exchange is usually also free of charge.

Copenhagen is picturesque and fun - plan a city tour.Tour Denmark's Capital Copenhagen

Denmark is always worth a trip. We have chosen Denmark's capital Copenhagen as the exact destination. Quick to reach, lots to experience and a colourful selection of possibilities.

We followed the myth that Copenhagen is the most livable city in the world and travelled to Denmark.

How to travel from Germany to Denmark?

Before we started our journey, we of course informed ourselves about the best way to get from Germany to Copenhagen. Copenhagen is "easy" to reach by car, bus, train or plane. In addition to the costs, the travel time was of course also decisive for us. After making comparisons, we very quickly found that flying was the best option. At $190 return and an hour's flight, it was a quick decision compared to the train at just under $400 and 1 day's travel time. With luggage, a travel guide and a lot of anticipation, the team left Germany for Copenhagen. After a one and a half hour direct flight from Düsseldorf, we landed in Copenhagen. By taxi we went directly to the city hotel "Hotel Savoy".

Highlights of Denmark's capitalIncentive trip to Copenhagen, Denmark with b-ceed: travel

For our Denmark trip we had of course made provisions and so our German-speaking guide picked us up directly at the hotel. Exciting architecture, many green spaces and a colorful harbor we experienced on the tour Copenhagen on foot.

Besides a visit to one of Copenhagen's oldest shops, Perch's Teehandel on Kronprinsensgade 5, we also explored the city from the water. With a kayak we saw the canals and the harbour from a new perspective. An absolutely great tip, which we got from our tour guide there and a must for every trip to Copenhagen. In case of bad weather, we alternatively went to the Cicsternerne - the museum for glass art. The only museum under daylight, set up in the underground drinking water cisterns of Copenhagen.

Our recommendation: Pack comfortable shoes, because most of Copenhagen can be done on foot. Of course, Segways or bicycles also offer an alternative.

Beer tasting deluxe in a brewery with b-ceed

Danish beer on the Copenhagen trip

A travel tip for your trip to Denmark is the "Old Carlsberg Brewery" in the district of Valby. The entrance area of the brewery is adorned with two imposing, five-metre-high elephants made of granite. This is where the art of modern Danish brewing began in 1847. During a beer tasting, we sampled the various beers from the Carlsberg Brewery and the Jacobsen Brewery . A beer expert took us deep into the marterie and explained the processes. This is really part of every trip to Copenhagen.

Culinary Copenhagen - a journey through Denmark's cuisine

The charm of the city did not let up when it came to eating. In one of the oldest restaurants in the leisure park Tivoli, the Grøften, we had traditional Smørrebrød. Simply delicious. In the evening there was then the highlight of our Denmark trip. A Nordic 3-course meal on board a ship. The sights shone in cheerful colors and the service team took care of every little wish.

Many reasons to travel to Denmark

Our conclusion: Copenhagen is always worth a trip. We were able to collect great memories, even if we were only two days on site. Many great sights and programs awaited us and convinced us completely. We took this as a reason to include Copenhagen as a travel destination on our site. Let yourself, whether with 5 or 50 people, on your trip in Denmark's capital culinary treat, discover great places and let your trip to Copenhagen in one of the many bars in the evening.
