Ötztal Trip 2019: Field Report

Company trip to Austria to the beautiful Sölden with b-ceed

Active company trip to Sölden.

Field report of a breathtaking journey through the Ötztal.

'Welcome to the Ötztal!' - with these words I, Lea, as project manager, welcomed our client to three exciting days in the Ötztal. Active, sporty and challenging, at this Incentive trip everything was there! Hardly a Field report awakens such a wanderlust, like this. Let's start our travel review in beautiful Sölden. Right at the beginning, the picturesque scenery made us want more.Adrenalin and fun in the activity park in the Ötztal with b-ceed

The outdoor paradise for adrenaline lovers

Day 1 started with a rich breakfast and everything the heart desires. And off we went to the paradise for every outdoor fan: Area47. In addition to the numerous swimming opportunities in the lakes, the outdoor activities are also a welcome cool-down in the Ötztal. Area47 is really a dream for everyone who likes climbing, mountain biking and is not afraid of water. From rafting to canyoning to wakeboarding, it's all here.

The very active company employees on our Ötztal trip had chosen the rafting tour "Imster Schlucht". A good choice if you have never been on this adventure before. After quickly picking up the tickets and wristbands that would later grant the group entry into the Water AREA, we were off towards the outdoor base. The impressive mountain landscape was always the number one topic of conversation. Area47 is located right at the Inn and offered us an impressive backdrop with the green mountains in the background.

Arrived at the outdoor base we were quickly equipped with wetsuit, paddle and helmet before a bus drove us to the departure point. The good-humored guides instructed us with wit and charm in the most important commands before we carried the boat in the team to the river. Thanks to the best weather, no one was afraid to jump into the cool water. Armed with our paddle we faced the river and its rapids. Jumping into the river during the trip, letting the boat capsize or playing "tequila" were no longer a challenge for us towards the end of the two-hour adventure.

Recharge your batteries and enjoy the view

After the guests were able to recharge their batteries in the Lakeside Restaurant, they had the opportunity to take full advantage of the numerous play opportunities in the Water AREA or to explore the Ötztal on their own. A few daredevils from the group decided to try canyoning and later returned to the hotel beaming with joy. We continued adventurously in the evening as the transfer took us on a bumpy ride up to the 400 year old Leiterbergalm. Good thing I didn't try to conquer the route in the company car! On site, a fantastic panoramic view over the idyllic Ötztal valley awaited us in the evening sun. On the terrace, the customers were still admiring the mountain landscape in peace. With traditional Austrian dishes, such as Tyrolean Gröstl, we spent a lot of time at the hut until the evening was perfectly rounded off with a large plate of Kaiserschmarrn.

The miller's delight is to wander

The next day I found myself in Ötz with the fun and highly motivated group. There we were greeted by our hiking guide, who immediately took us on a journey over hill and dale. We hiked up to the crystal-clear Piburg Lake, while Franzl told us a lot about the history of the landscape. During a breather, some guests cooled off in the lake, others enjoyed a delicious ice cream.

Of course, the hike was not our last highlight on the Ötztal trip. Another destination was the Highline 179, a 406m long pedestrian suspension bridge in the middle of the Alps. Unfortunately, due to a car accident on the way there, we still had to miss it. However, this bothered the group only a little, because the high temperatures already required the customers to cool down in the hotel pool.

The next morning I said goodbye to the dynamic group and the unique mountain landscape that I am still raving about today.Picturesque scenery during an active hike through the Ötztal with b-ceed

Why a trip to the Ötztal?

The question is rather why one would not want to travel to the Ötztal! Our customers have enjoyed so many new impressions and on the trip, a lot of potential that the Ötztal offers, was not exhausted.

I, for one, am convinced that this will not be my last trip to the Alps. There is still so much to discover: The Wildspitze, the highest mountain in Tyrol, the Stuibenfall, the highest waterfall, lots of three-thousand-metre peaks and I have only just begun to experience Area47. The varied Ötztal trip has so many different facets that make it an unforgettable experience.

I hope to have been able to give you a small impression of our Ötztal trip and would be very pleased to welcome you on our next trip.
