Summer is over and with it the beautiful and warm season is now really going bye-bye. What are many companies doing wrong now? Quite simply: they end up in the event blues and don't even think about the fact that others are snatching away the best events and ideas for Christmas parties right before their eyes. Well, that's how it goes in many companies in Germany. Remembering the Christmas party is like the good resolution you make every New Year's Eve: next year I'll do better. But where to take it from if there is no motivation? Today we give you 5 tips on how to plan the next Christmas party perfectly.
1. planning a Christmas party: when is the perfect time?
Some are too early and may overlook better and cheaper alternatives and others go about it with "last minute beaviour". The planning of the Christmas party can be much easier. The best time for this is in late August / early September. Around this time, many are still in summer mode and caterers and event agencies are still able to negotiate. Of course, it also depends on the size of your company. If you are expecting 50 or more guests, you should plan earlier and the beginning of July is perfect.
The rule of thumb: when it's no longer too warm but not yet too cold outside, preheat so no one ends up freezing 😉

What sounds at first like preparing the birthday of the kids is in fact a supreme discipline. After all, adults are much more difficult to convince. It is not done with a colorful hat, streamers and a nice name. Anyone planning a themed Christmas party for their company should think carefully about what suits the company. Actually, each of us knows the difference between buffet and menu. In general, these two forms of festive food intake are standard in German companies. But what if you were to call for something totally different on the menu this year? As event planning company for example, you are used to presenting exceptional catering to your customers. You can do this as a company as well, perhaps by offering a Christmas Fondue evening or you can talk to your people at the Winter crickets go. These are strong alternatives to the disdainful standards and again the circle closes: motto, clothing and food must fit.

Of course! The part of decoration and the appropriate trappings is the setting of your Christmas party. For example, if you use giant balloons, candelabras, and gold chains for a 1920s Golden Gatsby Christmas party, attendees will identify with the theme right from the start because, after all, if they follow these five tips, they will be dressed in style at best. Additional table decorations, menu cards in a suitable form and give-aways round off the fun. Add to this an authentic cocktail and the mood is already top, even before the DJ starts with his set.
